What Is HMT?
Here at Trestle, we're always thinking about our surrounding environmental concerns. Given the challenging developmental issues of the Himalayan landscape due to climate change and conventual issues, we have agreed to join hands to work together with the Himalayan Mountain Trust in order to develop effective solutions and initiatives for the conservation and sustainable development
of the Himalayan landscape.

Joint publications & physical events targeted to the youth of western Himalayas
To make them more aware and responsible for the conservation of the Himalayan landscape
Conducting joint applied research on the Himalayas (made accessible to policymakers and practitioners)
Partnership with other institutions working on similar agenda in the north western Himalayas
Established trust deed for public charitable objects
For individuals having concern for the sustainable development of HP
To accept donations, contributions, cash, grants from supporters
Institute for Mountain Research & Development of the North & Western Himalayas
Objectives
To create a platform of local, national, and international exchange on issues of mountain eco-development
To initiate and support development activities, publications, scientific research projects and other activities
To collect donations received from India and foreign countries
